INVITED-TRIAL GUIDE · UPDATED 9 October 2026
Approved checks, rules and service evidence
What ToolCustody checks automatically, what your team approves and how conditions are set up in the trial.
This guide describes the trial scope. Access and the workflow supported for your site are agreed before the trial starts.
Automatic checks after approval
Once your team approves the task and policy references, ToolCustody uses them on every proposed issue. It checks whether the tool is permitted for the task, whether its current state allows issue and whether required qualification covers the planned use. Operators see the outcome and the reason; they do not have to interpret the reference tables by hand.
Structured setup and independent review
The invited trial uses structured editing, expected examples and separate reviewer approval. Live plain English authoring is not enabled in the trial, and no AI provider is connected. Approved operational checks run without a model call during issue or return.
Evidence is not approval
An authorised supervisor can upload a supported static PDF, JPEG or PNG as private source evidence. The system checks the file, retains its exact bytes and links it to a separate review. An appropriately authorised human accepts or rejects the qualification and records its scope and dates. ToolCustody does not extract or approve certificate facts with AI.
Stay within the agreed task
Your team supplies engineering knowledge and permitted alternatives. A matching family or similar description does not authorise an alternative tool. ToolCustody is not a machine interlock or a safety certification system, and it cannot know about a physical handover nobody records.
